CELEBRATING JACK HEMINGWAY’S BIRTHDAY

October 10th

On this special day, October 10th, we celebrate the life of Jack Hemingway, or as I would lovingly refer to him, "Bumby" — a man who embodied a lust for life, a contagious laughter, and a commanding presence. Much like his father, Ernest, Jack was a war hero, an avid fisherman, and a true embodiment of strength and warmth. He remains a remarkable man whose legacy continues to inspire us all.

…It so happens I’m in Paris, where he lived as a young boy with his father, Ernest Hemingway, and mother, Hadley. His first language was French, and his formative years as a little French boy helped shape the outstanding man he became.

His kindness, creativity, and warmth touched so many lives, especially mine. His memory continues to inspire and bring us together.

Each day Jack’s memory intertwines with the legacy of his father and his cutting-edge vision of branding the name Ernest Hemingway, known as Hemingway Ltd.

He carried his own burdens with quiet strength, faced the world with courage, and kept his spirit wild yet gentle.

His wealth of knowledge, storytelling, and big-hearted laughter stay with me forevermore.

I invite everyone to join me in a toast to celebrate Bumby's birthday and his lasting memory.

With love and admiration,
Angela Hemingway
