A Look Back at 2025 in the World of Ernest Hemingway

Honoring the past year’s milestones while preparing for a historic 2026

As we embark upon 2026, we find ourselves reflecting on a year filled with meaningful milestones, renewed connections, and a growing sense of shared purpose. Hemingway Ltd.—entrusted with carrying forward the spirit, integrity, and legacy of Ernest Hemingway—has never felt more honored to serve as the steward of such an enduring name.

The past year brought new partnerships, new audiences, and new chapters in a story that continues to inspire people around the world.

Digital Expansion

2025 was a landmark year for bringing Hemingway’s legacy to audiences in fresh and meaningful ways. We launched the new official website, ernesthemingwayofficial.com, along with official Hemingway social media pages across Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and the newly launched Hemingway Pinterest.

These channels now serve as the central home for Hemingway storytelling, archival insights, brand updates, and cultural touchpoints—ensuring that his life and work are shared with the depth and consistency they deserve.

High Point Market Authority

In April, we proudly introduced Hemingway Living alongside our exceptional partners Charleston Forge, McKinley Leather of Hickory Inc., and Lane Venture. These furniture collections translate Hemingway’s adventurous spirit and love of craftsmanship into the home, bringing together timeless design and modern luxury.

The debut marked a defining moment for Hemingway Ltd., helping shape the brand as a lifestyle expression infused with authenticity and heritage.

Patrick Hemingway (1928–2025)

This year also carried a moment of profound loss with the passing of Patrick Hemingway, Ernest’s last surviving son. As a writer, conservationist, and guardian of his father’s legacy, Patrick’s contributions were immeasurable.

It was a humbling privilege for Hemingway Ltd. to honor his life through thoughtful communication with global media outlets. His influence on the Hemingway family legacy will continue to guide the work we do.

100 Years of The Boulevardier

At the storied Harry’s New York Bar in Paris, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of The Boulevardier and the relaunch of its magazine. The latest issue features rarely seen essays by Ernest Hemingway alongside contemporary voices—blending tradition and modernity in a way that feels true to the Hemingway spirit.

The gathering was a reminder of how deeply his work remains woven into the cultural fabric of travel, literature, cocktail history, and creative exchange.

Paris Revival

In a separate trip to Paris later in the year, we set out with the intentional purpose of reconnecting with the city’s most iconic Hemingway touchpoints. Our visit included meaningful stops at The Ritz Paris—Hemingway’s longtime refuge and inspiration—Harry’s New York Bar, Shakespeare and Company, and a myriad of restaurants, cafés, and watering holes that were among Ernest’s favorites.

These conversations and reconnections helped lay essential groundwork for future collaborations and reaffirmed Paris as a living, breathing part of the Hemingway story as we move toward a historic centennial year.

The Sun Also Rises Centennial (2026)

Looking ahead, preparations for the centennial of The Sun Also Rises are already generating excitement. Plans include global press partnerships, international collaborations across luxury, lifestyle, publishing, travel, and heritage sectors, and special events in Paris, Key West, Sun Valley, and New York.

A comprehensive digital campaign is in development, designed to bring this once-in-a-century moment to readers, scholars, travelers, and fans everywhere.

As we turn the page into 2026, we do so with gratitude—for our partners, our communities, the Hemingway family, and the countless readers who continue to be moved by Ernest Hemingway’s words.

With the centennial on the horizon and new initiatives taking shape, the coming year promises to be extraordinary. We look forward to honoring the legacy, expanding the story, and welcoming even more people into the world of Ernest Hemingway.
